What's not to love about fermented vegetables? Properly prepared, they tickle your taste buds while providing you with the beneficial bacteria you need to absorb nutrients and enhance your mood. They're a snap to make, and they never fail to impress at family gatherings. On top of that, they connect you to a history of food production that's literally thousands of years old. Fermented foods are a part of traditional diets all over the world. And once you know a few simple tricks, they can become a regular part of your diet as well.

Join Thom Heil, licensed acupuncturist and home fermentation enthusiast, to learn the basics of vegetable fermentation for yourself. Start a fun new hobby, and become a part of human history while getting your daily dose of probiotics. In this class, you'll get to taste fermented dilly carrots and home-made sauerkraut, as well as some delicious fermented beverages. Then you'll learn how to make ferments in your own kitchen, quickly and safely, with a minimum of effort and equipment.
